Year-end Fundraising Appeal Nears $10,000 Goal

Butler Little Theatre members and patrons donated nearly $10,000 in response to the first-ever year-end direct fundraising appeal. The donations will address funding shortfalls that resulted from two shortened seasons and another canceled due to the COVID pandemic.

The appeal ran from November 23 until January 31. One hundred nine BLT supporters contributed a total of $9,460. The average donation was $87, and more than one-third exceeded $100.

The BLT board of directors is very grateful for the additional donations the organization’s members and patrons provided. The funds will support the valuable work of the theatre and its many dedicated volunteer actors, directors, designers, stagehands, ushers, and box office personnel who work tirelessly to bring full-stage Broadway productions to Butler audiences.

The BLT is among the oldest continuously active theater groups in Pennsylvania and the United States. Since its founding, the organization has produced more than four hundred Broadway plays. The BLT is an all-volunteer organization, so every dollar donated goes directly to sustain the organization’s mission.
