Laura Crago

Laura Crago (Director) Laura has fond memories of the BLT since she was a little girl. She spent many nights sitting in the loft during shows, watching from above and sometimes even drawing the curtain. Her family, including her grandmother, mom, and dad, have been involved with the theater since before she was born, a legacy she hopes to carry on.

Laura is honored to be directing her first show for BLT and to have such an amazing cast and crew who have gone above and beyond. Something important to Laura during this process was to have everyone work together to build the set, a fond memory she had with her dad.

Since his passing in 2015, she has always tried to honor his memory in what he loved; at BLT, Wilbur was known for being the guy who was always willing to lend a hand, build a set, and was THE guy when it came to building stairs.

Laura earned a BFA in Acting and Communications with a minor in Dance from Pennsylvania’s Clarion University. She most recently appeared on the BLT stage last season as Brooke Wyeth in Other Desert Cities and in May 2023 as Emily Penrose in The Lifespan of a Fact. This past August, Laura participated in the Hobnob Theatre Company’s 24-Hour Play Project, appearing as Martha in R.I.P.

Laura is very excited to be directing for the BLT this season and expresses her sincere gratitude to her actors, crew, and family for their support. Thank you to you, our audience, for your continued support and for being the reason why we all continue to keep our love of this little theater alive!
